Shoal Runner boats began with a wish by Billy L. Shepherd, a local business man , and James N. Yowell, a retired Navy man. They were friends who love to fish the rivers and streams of Missouri. They would take float trips with their small boat, Which required two vehicles, Two men, One boat and trailer. They would drive to where they would take their boat out of the water and leave one vehicle then drive to the place they put the boat in. Of course when they got to the place where they take out the vehicle with the trailer was where they put in, so they would have to tie up the boat then drive to the other vehicle, go back to load the boat. Of course you always got your feet wet because every time you came to a shoal you got out to drag your boat over.

It got to be allot of work Their wish to have a boat that would run over the shoals and never get your feet wet and only need one vehicle.

So in 1983 they got together and started to put their ideas together. Three years later and many designs later, The first Shoal Runner Boat built. The performance was excellent with speed up to fifty miles per hour. It has the advantage of being able to run in very shallow water and skim over many obstructions while up on a plane. It meets all coast guard requirements and very economical to run.

The quality put into each and every Shoal Runner Boat is first rate. We take pride in our boat and build each one at a time with our customer wish and need in mind, with many America made parts. So we can say Made In America by Americans.
